Stenciling
with a free-form stencil
is popular with faux-finishers and
muralists. It is a creative style of stenciling that lets you
become the designer! Free-form work allows you to judge the
size, perspective and positioning of all of the elements. The
stencil is designed using small components, that when "layered" or
"built upwards" allows you to create designs on a small scale, or
fill an entire wall.
If you don't want to paint a mural on the wall because
you may move and have to leave it.....consider stenciling it on a piece
of canvas. The canvas can be mounted and framed, or suspended from
a decorative rod. When moving day arrives, your artwork goes with
you.
