The Gingko tree
is one of the oldest documented trees in history. It has long had
meaning for strength and longevity, and has been planted for brides by
their grooms to represent what they hope for in their marriage, long and
lasting. It has also had great meaning for naturalists and
herbalists. Though there are many varieties, the leaf shown here is
most well known. It has become a beautiful element for decorating,
and is especially pretty on fabric!
